Description
Our quality-controlled Category 6 (Cat6) Stranded Cable is the solution to your backbone and horizontal networking cabling needs.
See the difference: CAT6 essentially obsoletes the Cat5 standard and will eventually obsolete the Cat5e standard. The bandwidth has excelled from 100 Mhz (Cat5), to 350Mhz (Cat5e), up to 550MHz (Cat6) and the connector insertion loss and the crosstalk is improved.
Cat6 places a divider inside the inner core to separate the wire pairs even more than Cat5e. The differences between Category 5 and Category 5E are in transmission performance. Gigabit Ethernet applications at 1000 Mbps should use Category 6 cabling for optimal results.
Both Category 5 and Category 5E consist of unshielded twisted pair with 100 ohm impedance and electrical characteristics supporting transmissions up to 550 MHz. Cat5e (350MHz) and Cat6 (550MHz) improve on the original Cat5 (100MHz) design by adding more shielding through extra twists to the wire.
With our Certified Cat6 and rated 550 Mhz Cable you can connect your LAN/WAN gear, the Internet, and many others devices for blazing speeds and optimal performance.
